Obesity and eye diseases




Obesity is the most prevalent metabolic disease in western countries and it has reached epidemic proportions in North America. Everyone knows that it has a negative impact on overall health but what about eye diseases specifically? Obesity has been linked with age-related cataractglaucoma, age-related maculopathy, and diabetic retinopathy. Watch your weight to look after your eyes.
